Cancer With A Smile
In some of the lit circle today I added my own thoughts and feelings off the fact that my old sister had cancer around a year and a half ago. This book may seem some what boring to someone who has never had to hear the words that a loved one is being killed by a thing called cancer. So odd I find it that Johnny took cancer with a smile like my sister did she never failed to make a joke, such as, "how are you feeling today?" she would look and say in the most careless voice "well how does it look like I feel?" not knowing if you were going to laugh or cry. These moments are just things that come to mind when I read this book.

Responsibility Not So Responsible
Most teens it seems these days can not even keep up with there cell phone, which are one of there most valued possessions, what makes people think they can save the world from a evil Empire. Responsibility, having become one of the most dreaded words that a teenager could ever hear, seems to be something that nobody could ever really get ready to handle.
In Eldest Eargon is the sun that a dark land needs to help rise against an evil lord and his Empire, but unbeknown to most in this dark world Eargon has no idea what he is doing. From become a farm to one of the most powerful persons in the world is a dramatic change that always come with huge responsibility that would make any one struggle. My oldest sister got cancer about a year and a half ago putting me almost as the oldest child now. Both my parents were almost in the hospital with her for about eight months leaving me to take care of my self and sometimes my little sister. This was something that I was not ready for but had to accept. That wasn’t one of those things that someone could just say “no I don’t think so, not today.” So within about eight months I grew up a lot more than most fifteen year olds do. Eargon of course has to take this responsibility and help all those who can’t help themselves. This kind of responsibility is not one that some one goes out looking for but most of the time is just thrust into some ones lap.
Having responsibility is something that no one will ever be able to get ready for. I know for a fact that I was and, even if I had all the time in the world, would have been able to prepare my self the responsibility that could change life’s. Eargon took this responsibility and made the world brighter place when so much darkness was around and when becoming part of the darkness would have been so much easier. He took this went with what he was supposed to do, making the right choice in the end.
